Terms and Conditions
Acceptance of these terms
These terms govern your use of Publento Editorial (https://publento.com), published by Publento (506 S Main St, Suite 840, 88001 Las Cruces, New Mexico, United States). By browsing the site, subscribing to a newsletter or sending us a message you accept them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
These terms are completed by the Privacy Notice, the Cookie Policy and the Legal Notice, which form part of them.
What the service is
We offer, free of charge, access to editorial contents —articles, guides and information— published by the group and its sites, together with a newsletter and forms to write to us. We may add, change, suspend or remove any of it at any time, and we may interrupt access for maintenance or for security reasons.
How you may use the site
You may read, share and quote the contents for personal or informative use, mentioning the source and linking to the original page. You may not:
- Use the site for unlawful purposes or in a way that damages the rights of others.
- Reproduce, distribute, transform or exploit the contents commercially without our prior written authorisation.
- Extract contents massively or automatically (scraping, text and data mining, automated reading by bots) when it harms our service or the rights of the authors.
- Interfere with the operation of the site, try to access restricted areas, or introduce code that damages it.
- Impersonate another person, or send us information that is false or that belongs to someone else.
Automated access by search engines and aggregators that respect our robots file, and reading through a feed, are authorised.
Intellectual property
The contents belong to Publento or to third parties who have authorised their use. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable licence to read the site and to share its contents as described above. All rights not expressly granted stay with their owners. The rules for claiming copyright are in the Legal Notice.
Your content
When you send us a message or publish a comment, the text is yours. It is also your responsibility: only send what is yours or what you may use, and do not include other people's personal information.
By sending it, you grant us a licence —free of charge, non-exclusive and for as long as the content stays published— to store, publish, translate and moderate it in the site and in the forms we use to deliver it, and to shorten or edit it for style and length without changing its meaning. We may not publish a comment, or remove it, when it breaks these terms or the rules of the conversation; moderation rules are explained where the comments appear.
Third-party links and services
The site may link to or embed third-party contents and services. We are not responsible for them or for their practices; their own terms and privacy rules apply. Their presence is not an endorsement.
Information, not advice
The contents are general information written for a general audience, with informative intent. They are not financial, tax, accounting or legal advice, and they do not replace the assessment of a professional or of the competent authority. The calculators, comparisons and guides are tools for estimation and support: their assumptions matter, and the result depends on the data you enter.
Warranties and liability
We offer the site as it is and as it is available, and we do not promise that it will always work without interruption or without errors, nor that its contents will be complete, exact or up to date at every moment. To the maximum extent the law allows, Publento is not liable for indirect or consequential damages derived from the use of the site or from trusting its contents. Nothing in these terms limits the rights that the law grants you as a consumer, nor our liability where it cannot be limited by law.
Your responsibility
You will answer for the damages that derive from a use of the site that breaks these terms or the law, including the contents you send us.
Changes and termination
We may modify these terms to adapt them to changes in the law or in the service. The published version is the one in force; the date of the last update appears below. If you keep using the site after a change, we understand that you accept the new version. We may also limit or refuse access to whoever breaks these terms.
Applicable law and dispute resolution
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Mexico, United States, and by the federal laws of the United States that correspond. If a disagreement arises, we ask you to write first to privacy@publento.com so we can try to solve it directly; if we do not reach an agreement, the dispute will be submitted to the competent courts of Las Cruces, New Mexico, without prejudice to the rights that the applicable consumer rules recognise to you in your place of residence.
If any clause of these terms is declared invalid, the rest will continue to apply, and the invalid clause will be replaced by what the law provides.
